Friends of the Academy is a special designation
for individuals who wish to be associated with the goals of the Academy and to
help support its operations. It is renewable annually. Friends of
the Academy receive special notice of AALE meetings and conferences and receive
selected Academy publications, including the newsletter.
To become a Friend of the Academy, send a check
for $35 or more, payable to the American Academy for Liberal Education, to:

Contributions to the Academy are tax deductible. The American Academy for
Liberal Education is listed in the Internal Revenue Services’ Publication 78*
as a public charity with a 50% deductibility limitation. AALE is a non-profit,
tax-exempt organization as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code.

described in section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986(CL), commonly
known as Publication 78, is a computer generated listing of names of
organizations. These organizations have been determined to be entitled to
