Snapshot of Franklin Academy:
-opened in 1998 as a K-5 school, currently expanded grades
K- 12, serving 1,000 students;
-school has adopted
a Direct Instruction format for classroom
instruction;
-each classroom is equipped with five computer stations
which
students use in all curricular areas at all grade
levels;
-students in all grades participate in
Character Education,
emphasizing "core virtues" such
as: respect, responsibility, diligence,
honesty,
compassion, perseverance;
-accredited by AALE in
November 2002. |
