Located in Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona, HumSci provides a rigorous accelerated academic program in international languages, language arts, literature, social studies, mathematics and natural sciences. These disciplines integrate the Arizona Academic Standards and are based on the College Board's Advanced Placement curriculum as well as the Great Books of the Western World.

Mission Statement: "The mission of the Humanities and Sciences Institute is to prepare mature high school students in humanities and sciences for post secondary education, social responsibility, employability, and life long learning."

Snapshot of Humanities and Sciences Institute:

-9-12 school currently serving 64 students;
-small campus size and instruction takes place in small groups and one to one;
-open twelve months of the year;
-students may concurrently enroll in community college or university courses. Tuition is paid by the Institute.
-students has the to participate in state, national and international field experiences such as Biosphere 2, Grand Canyon and
Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans at Puerto Penasco, Mexico and Quebec, Canada;
-accredited by AALE in November, 2002.
